Product care

How to care for your jewelry

🌿

Every piece of jewelry holds its own story. It was created slowly, by hand, and with great care, so that it can bring you joy every day. However, just like all small treasures from nature, it deserves a little love to maintain its beauty for as long as possible.

🌿 The magic of macrame

Macrame jewelry is woven from strong waxed polyester cord.

It is durable, holds its shape well, and its colors remain beautiful for a long time. Brief contact with water usually does not harm it, but I still recommend avoiding prolonged moisture, bathing, seawater, or frequent exposure to sweat.

Occasionally, you may find tiny white marks between the knots. Don't worry - it's just residual protective wax that will gradually disappear with wear, like morning mist vanishing in the first rays of the sun.

💎 Gifts of the Earth – natural stones

For jewelry featuring a mineral cabochon, the mineral is firmly encased by knots using the macrame technique. The mineral is secure and tightly wrapped. Nevertheless, avoid friction. Cabochons are stones with a smooth, convex surface and a flat underside, making them easy to "wrap" with cords.

Each stone is unique, as are its energy and properties.

Some minerals, such as malachite, angelite, or selenite, do not like water and can be damaged by prolonged contact.

Their hardness also varies. Softer stones are more sensitive to impact and can be scratched or chipped more easily.

If you are interested in your particular stone, I recommend finding out more about its properties – every natural entity has its own rules.

To maintain the mineral's natural luster, protect it from perfumes, creams, cleaning agents, and other chemicals. If necessary, simply wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth.

✨ Metal details

Some jewelry is adorned with tiny beads. I use various beads, most preferably Japanese TOHO seed beads, but brass beads can also be used. Both are very durable, but it is still recommended to avoid prolonged contact with water and sea salt. Protect them from perfume, chlorine, and cleaning agents. Store in a dry place.

🌙 A little magic for the long life of your jewelry

✨ Handle your jewelry gently – each piece is handmade and no two are exactly alike.

✨ It is better to take off your jewelry before going to bed to prevent unnecessary damage.

✨ Protect it from prolonged contact with water – some stones cannot tolerate it.

✨ Avoid perfumes, deodorants, chlorinated or sea water, and other chemical substances.

✨ When your jewelry is not being worn, store it in its own pouch or box where it won't scratch against other treasures.

How to care for your accessories, such as a handbag or belt

🌿

Every handbag and belt is handcrafted, knot by knot. They are created to accompany you on your daily adventures, but just like any handmade treasure, they deserve a little care.

🧵 Strong knots that last

Bags are predominantly made from high-quality polyester cord, unless otherwise stated. I also use cotton yarn or premium bamboo yarn.

The yarn is strong, durable, and holds its shape well. Nevertheless, I recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to water, high humidity, or strong mechanical stress to maintain the product's beautiful appearance.

💎 Metal details and bamboo handles

Metal details may gradually lose their shine over time. Bamboo handles are natural and very durable.

🌧️ What to do if it gets wet?

Light rain usually does not harm a bag or belt.

However, if the product gets very wet:

  • gently blot excess water with a soft towel,
  • let it air dry at room temperature,
  • do not place it on a radiator or in direct sunlight.

🌸 Daily care

✨ Do not take your bag or belt to the pool or seawater.

✨ Avoid contact with perfumes, oils, sunscreens, and other chemicals.

✨ Do not overload the bag with excessive weight to maintain its shape.

✨ When not in use, store the product in a dry place away from direct sunlight.

✨ Occasionally, you can gently smooth the cords with your fingers (especially if they are made of natural material). If the bag has fringes, you can comb them.

🧚 A little secret for a long life

Every knot was tied by hand and with great care. If you give your macrame treasure a little attention, it will bring you joy for many years.

TIP: if a thread comes loose or pokes out, you can carefully melt the thread with fire.

🧚 If you're unsure...

If you're not sure, write to me. I'll be happy to advise you so your little talisman and companion can bring joy for many more years.
